Pair Antique 1920s Heavily Carved Mahogany English Gothic Fireside Lounge Chairs. Here we have a pair of 18th Century English Gothic Style palace sized living room or library chairs from the 1920s.Five digits to remake today. Reclaimed wood would have to acquired first. These chairs were in the formal living room so did not see daily use.
Re-upholstered in the mid century era the chairs are probably from the heyday of furniture making in the late 1920s to 1930s early post war period. Made to the highest standards with thick and juicy pieces of solid Mahogany to make the frame and all the carvings. Handsome and elegant design elements throughout. The upholstery is dated but could be cleaned up for uses as is. The fabric style shows re-upholstery was done in the 1970s era. The spring system underneath looks a little saggy but is holding up well and feels comfortable and supportive. If you have them re-covered the springs can be re-tied then. The chairs are very reliable, tight and comfy.
These chairs will make a grand statement in any room and wow yourself and your guests every time! 47 1/2" tall, 27" arms tall x 28" wide x 27" deep.
